MERCATO’S JOURNEY

The origin of Mercato West began in 1974, with the Italian Centre & Meat Market and in 1983, Italian Gourmet Foods which foreshadowed the evolution to Mercato Mission in 2005. The Mercato West concept in 2012 furthered the celebration of the Italian table and culture simultaneously. The memorable experiences of the Ristorante, Pizzevino, Market, “Porte Via” (take away) and catering are inspired by the “Italian table” continues to be the driving philosophy of Mercato.
